Zim Ngqawana Concert in Stellenbosch

After the screening of Aryan Kaganof’s new film, The Exhibition of Vandalism during a colloquium of the Department of Music at the University of Stellenbosch, a number of students decided to invite Ngqawana, Shepherd and Kaganof to present a continued interpretation of the Exhibition of Vandalism. Under the auspices of the Documentation Centre for Music (DOMUS) a concert was held in May at Star Metals scrapyard in Stellenbosch.

The Kaganof film Exhibition of Vandalism documents a performance on the broken instruments after vandalisation of Ngqawana’s Zimology Institute outside Johannesburg. The continued presentation of the Exhibition of Vandalism is documented in the photographic images below:
